Tim Flynn new WVU coach-- fantastic hire

Postby aacoach61 » Tue Apr 10, 2018 4:03 pm

At Edinboro, Coach Flynn produced 38 All Americans and 3 different NCAA champions. Even coaching in the middle of nowhere, he led Edinboro to five top ten finishes at the NCAA Division I National Championships, and 13 top 20 finishes.

What a great hire by AD Shane Lyons.

I am super-excited about this. I highly respect Sammie Henson, but what Flynn did with Edinboro was something special. I can hardly wait to see what he can do for WVU wrestling.

For anyone interested in the ful story, here is the link to the article on WVUs website https://wvusports.com/news/2018/4/10/ly ... coach.aspx

Henson was also described as a great hire, a winner.. etc and obviously it didnt work out. Lets not get giddy just yet over this hire.

Very happy with this coach. No comparison with Henson.
