Hinzman vs Gibson and Quiocho vs Flint were IMO the best matches of the night.

I guess you could consider Freshman Gavin Quiocho's 6-3 win over Lane Flint an upset. Gavin is learning high school wrestling very quickly.
I enjoyed watching the East Fairmont and Indy dual. Some good matches there also.

Gavin Quiocho armed with a bearhug is a bad match up for anybody.

Re: Storm on Blizzard
It made my evening seeing past state champions from East Fairmont, Mason Bailey and Hunter Wood. You both have always been two special young men to me.
I don't think I've seen either of them since their Senior year in high school. Both wrestled in college and are now serving our country in the Army(Hunter) and Navy(Mason). Thank you both for your service to our country and keeping us safe!
Love you both!

Question about the school colors of Indy and EF.
Did both of these schools change their school colors? I seem to remember Indy's colors being Navy and Gold and EF colors being Maroon and White. we are talking back in the 70's and 80's. is this correct?, anyone

JBee, I can remember when Indy wore mostly navy colored uniforms and East wore blue and gold. Beyond that, maybe someone from the schools can comment.

East Fairmont colors are gold and navy. Indy school colors are red white and blue, not sure why they wear the grey singlets.

South also has a grey singlet. I’m not a big fan of them either.

Better than them wearing red

Agree about the grey singlets not sure who wanted South to have them but probably should put them away, don’t even look like a South wrestler wearing those grey ones.
