Re: WVU
They have a lot of good wrestlers redshirted this year, the both Moore twins plus moisey. Next year should be a lot better and Jake Smith coming back with his medical redshirt .

Is think, it will be a bit much to ask, Penn State atmosphere and the shear number of fans the wrestlers put in the stands is incredible.
I think we can snag some great recruits, and already have, within Sammy's and WVUs range of influence.
Looking up and down the lineup. Next year certainly looks better. The redshirts are wrestling some matches but aside from Matthew Schmidt being 6 and 1, not having great success.
Certainly it is a different level and adjustments to levels of competition is much higher.
With McGill being number 20, Adams at number 4 and Klussis in the top 10, Soboro a 3 time runner up and a top contender again and ranked number 2 in Ohio, and the Heavyweight State CHAMP from MD.coming that will solidify and increase some competition for the 60 and up club.
The lightweights will have Both Moore's back, Devin Brown WITH a season under his belt, Schmidt coming in as a potential player somewhere, a solid Monsserat, and Zeke. Filling 4 spots, with additional seasoned wrestlers in the mix. You can go to wrestlestat.com and see each wrestler on the team, their record and who they have wrestled.
Looking forward to 2 season's ahead, of this entire lineup, I think off the top of my head we only lose current starters Parker and Jake,
Looking at The Bull's first recruiting class, of the several recruits still wrestling that I could find, most are wrestling closer to home, with the exception of the Kentucky Heavyweight at Missouri.

Not sure how this works, but, I see replies tagged to quotes. My thoughts are Cory Stainbrook has done a great job at 133 this season If you look at the body of work.
He has also been an integral part of the team for his career and scored a Lot of points for WVU.
With Devin Brown, I think he is picking up some wins as he has progressed this year. Last year he had some wins (although not team points) Learning . He is a valuable asset to out TEAM!!
My only concern or thought is he was a very small, very very good lightweight in H.S. . Far fetched as it sounds 125 could be a stretch for him, again I don't know, but, you just do not see in today's wrestling circles kids remaining at such a light weight thru their senior years. He was the number 3 113 in the country I believe.
My hat is off to our entire TEAM for this effort, congratulations!!!

When I look at where recruits are from lately, a lot of them are from Oklahoma or parts of the mid west. You'd think some PA kids would be a priority
Re: WVU
There is a 5 page thread titled WVU on THEMAT.COM college forum going on now. Take it for whatever its worth. One of the guys posting a lot is a recent wrestlers dad who transferred out of WVU. He's posted a lot on others sites and seems a little off but I have no clue. I thought Henson was the right move when made. I agree that WVU should be top 10 to 15 with the Western Pa talent and clubs around the area. Young Guns, Quest, All American, Pit Bulls etc.

I know Jake Smith is recovering from his injury from the Big 12 Tourney. But what is the status of Kendall Moore? I haven’t seen his name in the lineup so far this year. Is he hurt? Moisey wasn’t in the lineup vs Nebraska. Is he hurt as well? Please advise. Thx!

I have to say that I am sorry that I was so vocal about getting rid of turnbull...don’t get me wrong....I luv the bull...I think he was a great hire...I luv how he is actively trying to help Wv high school wrestling....but, I have come to the realization that Morgantown itself is a very challenging location to keep college wrestlers disciplined.....I don’t think Dan Gable himself could get the job done.
