: Justin Allman (1), Parkersburg South (WV) vs. Francis Duggan (2), North Allegheny: Neither wrestler could get inside and do much damage early. Duggan put himself in good position by hitting a single, but Allman bailed out and was able to sprawl to keep the match scoreless heading to the second. Duggan started down in the second and earned an escape along the edge 15 seconds in for a 1-0 lead. There was very little action the rest of the period, as neither wrestler could get an advantage off the tie. Duggan gave Allman a neutral escape to start the third that evened the match. Just like the second period, there was one shot taken and nothing close to a takedown, which sent the match to sudden victory. Both wrestlers had a shot in the first 20 seconds. Duggan got in on a shot but stumbled, which allowed Allman to pounce. Duggan was able to fight it off and another stoppage occurred. Again, Duggan got in on a single. Allman was able to hop on one leg and get to the edge, and the sudden victory period came to an end. Duggan was down to start the first tiebreaker session. He spun on the start, but Allman held tight and was able to ride the Tigers sophomore the rest of the way. Allman got his shot in the second 30-second session, and he was out within five seconds after getting to his feet. Duggan took a couple shots but couldn't earn a takedown, and Allman earned the 2-1 decision.
