Some great matches tonight. All three teams are really strong.

I could see the confusion as both Lopez and Starky about had each other pinned multiple times during the match. However, Starky actually received the win. That is where the 12 point swing is.

Thanks for the clarification: so aaacoach 42 you are suggesting that a pin took place that a official did not call?

The match was action packed with both wrestlers scrambling like crazy. My score keeper had one wrestler getting the fall and awarded the 6 team point to the other wrestler. Honest mistake on my part.

OW88,

No the officiating was good. When I referred to them almost sticking each other several times I was referring to the scrambling and the fact that they both caught each other off guard several times. Everything for this Tri was spot on. Teams wrestled well with very close matches, and the official was good as he usually is.

Starkey is a fun, but frustrating wrestler to watch. His style would make anybody pull their hair out. If he can keep from pinning himself, he can give anybody fits. He was in a tough weight class last season and finished at third place in the state tournament. Grass/Huntington(Dutton Award Winner) was the champ. Spears/Parkersburg was runner up.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!

Very true. He is definately a funky wrestler. Reminds me of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu without the submissions.
