It's a travel day for you Mountaineers! We'll hop on a bus shortly and head to New York for Sunday's Binghamton Open. We will have 20 attached wrestlers in action and two wrestlers going unattached.

We also have four wrestlers competing today at the Mountaineer Open hosted by Appalachian State. They are listed below and all going unattached.

141: Blake Boyers
157: Trey Johnson
174: Dylan Kohn
285: Tristan Kemp

Below are the attached wrestlers that will be in action at the Binghamton Open.

125: Jace Schafer
141: Jordan Titus, Michael Dolan
149: Jeff Boyd, Sam Hillegas, Brayden Ivy, Michael Pescatore
157: Caleb Dowling, Alex Hornfeck, Walker Heard, Joseph Chiappazzi
165: Peyton Hall, Patrick Daum, Jack Blumer

Brackets for both the Mountaineer Open and the Binghamton Open will be on FloArena. However, the Binghamton Open will be live streamed on their clubs website right here: https://www.bearcatwrestlingclub.com/jo ... -open.html. I believe there is a $10 charge to watch.

We will also have live updates on our Twitter throughout the day. We hope you follow along! If not, I'll be back Monday with our complete results from both Opens.

Let's Go Mountaineers!

Thanks for these updates Kyle. Makes it much easier to follow the team. Can you give us an update on 133?

This WVU team reminds me of the 1967 film "The Dirty Dozen". We got a dozen wrestlers (ten weight classes and a few do not have a solid starter) going into battle.

Disclaimer: This post isn't intended to be negative and I am not trying to hurt anybody's feelings. I am actually more excited this weekend because this situation is getting CRAZY!!!!!

Here is Kyle's list and keep in mind who won the wrestle offs:

Below are the attached wrestlers that will be in action at the Binghamton Open.

125: Jace Schafer
141: Jordan Titus, Michael Dolan
149: Jeff Boyd, Sam Hillegas, Brayden Ivy, Michael Pescatore
157: Caleb Dowling, Alex Hornfeck, Walker Heard, Joseph Chiappazzi
165: Peyton Hall, Patrick Daum, Jack Blumer
184: Anthony Carman, Brian Finnerty
197: Austin Cooley, Nate Wickersham
285: Michael Wolfgram, Leo Muzika

And below are the unattached wrestlers going to the Binghamton Open.

157: Brayden Roberts
184: Dennis Robin

Here is how most of the wrestlers finished up today:

125: Schafer 1-2

133: No entry

141: Dolan FOURTH!!! Titus won many matches but then medical forfeited out.

149: Hillegas THIRD!!!! Boyd 2-2.

157: Hornfeck SECOND!!!! Roberts decisioned Dowling 3-1

165: HALL FIRST!!!!!

174: No entry.

184: Robin Third & Carmen Fourth

197: Cooley SECOND

285: Wolfgram THIRD.

We got some Big 12 Conference duals coming up in the next couple of weeks.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!

You'll see 133 in action this weekend at the quad. Trey's first name is George, but he prefers Trey. Update with all of the results from this weekend coming soon!

Another solid weekend for the Mountaineers! Peyton Hall had a really impressive performance to win the Binghamton Open and eight other wrestlers finished in the top four. In my opinion, this was a step up in coemption from last week's Southeast Open and we still performed pretty well.

Looks like iron is sharpening iron in the practice room. We have been discussing on this forum for a couple years the need for quality practice partners that are going to push each other. Looks like we are finally getting there!
