Hats off to you coach, you have successfully given WVU wrestling fans something to be proud of. As a fan I look forward to next year when Dylan Cottrill steps on the mats. Go get Ryan Diehl from Liberty and all hell will break loose. LETS GO

Never said it was. Diehl is a D1 contender as is alot of WV guys that are still eligible. Wrestling can be forecast very easily. For Diehl and Moisey to have wrestled the way they did is a good prelude of what would happen in college. No he wouldn't have wrestled off for 25 but the skill level would have carried to the next weight. With Morales at 41 and leaving and Dylan soon to be here at 49 we put Ryan at 41. That means next year we are covered from 25-49 with national caliber wrestlers. No one can beat Ryan in that room at 41. Take Jake Smith for instance which I think is the next best to Morales. Are you saying that Ryan cant beat a 1x State Champ and 3 time placer at the 32? Sure he can. And then to wrestle under the Bull to boot? As we both know coaching makes champions.

Are you trolling right now Qualityshots? Why are you trying to take away from a kid who's worked so hard to get to the finals? Diehl is good, but he has no place in this conversation. Klimara beat Moisey twice this season, yet Moisey made it look easy yesterday. High school success is not a great measuring stick for Division 1 wrestling. Who cares what he did in high school, he's wrestling for a national title tonight. You're kind of like the Kanye of this thread right now.

Qualityshots : Diehl is not a "national quality" wrestler at D1...in his present division, he is. He may have been able to create something, but not now, and especially not at 141. He was skunked by an average Princeton wrestler this past season. I think the present recruiting class and transfers will build something in Morgantown the next two or three years.

Wondering how this thread went to "Thanks Bull" for the progarm he is building to talking about if a KID can or can not compete. He is a quality kid and unless he decides to transfer we will never know. To say he can't is an unfair statement to the fine young man. He has proven himself along the way and for his name to be brought up that he can't is really belittling and unfair. After all he is the one in the room putting the work in and we are just commenting on it without the pain and scarfices he is making. Let the kid wresltle were he wants and his accomplishments will speak for themselves. :)

Haha Skunked? It was 12-8 so you obviously missed the match. Secondly, do you consider Dylan Cotrell a national caliber wrestler because of his amazing NCAA tournament run last year coming within one match of AA status? Because if you do then you need to extend the same respect to Laster because that is exactly what he did this year. Otherwise you just called Dylan and many other wrestlers "average." You should probably be easy on the "national caliber" judging considering you yourself have never came close to anything any of these kids on this thread have done.
