I think we need more than asking if a senior level club is important for recruiting. Plenty of schools have senior level clubs and are no noticeably better or worse off for them. What is important is having a well developed, successful senior level club. This proves success and support; as well as, allows the wrestling program to bring on additional coaches without directly incurring the expense and provides additional quality practice partners for your athletes.
WVU has had (under a different name) and as I understand continues to have a RTC associated with the program. It just lacks the success of those named above and the support. This lack of support is our failure as supports and fans of WVU wrestling and West Virginia wrestling in general.
