Are there any details on the rescheduled middle school WSAZ's at Huntington High School? How many teams/who is attending? What time does wrestling start? Thank you.

I was just told that no JV wrestlers will be allowed.

Be interesting to see if there are JV kids from the schools that feed Huntington High. Many times in years past we coaches were told no more than 2 per weight class and schools like Huntington East, Milton, and Huntington Middle would have 4-5 in each class.

Uh Milton Middle feeds Cabell Midland, or at least it is supposed to, so don't throw my old Panthers in that mix - we never got more than 2 in when I was coaching.

Got an email for Coach Archer, so to clear things up.

1. The tournament is Friday and Saturday at Huntington High School.

2. Due to the size and limited mat space, the tournament is varsity wrestlers only ( JV wrestlers that were seeded during the seeding meeting last Sunday will be allowed to participate) that is the only JV allowed. You can check seeding at WVMAT

3. Weigh ins are 3-4. Wrestling will start at 5. Teams MUST weigh in before 4:00!

4. The tournament is now single elminiation for the championship 64 and 32 man bracket. There is no wrestle backs (so like it was back before) must advance to round of 16 before your in the double elminiation tournament.

5. Friday they will wrestle championship 64,32 and 16 man bracket. Everything else will be Saturday.

I think that pretty much sums up the email I got.

Is there going to be a revised entry list. Figure some weights won't have a round of 64 now. And are byes to top seeds or random?
