Couple questions about the Kanawha County Championship, is every school in Kanawha County participating?? I have heard that St. Albans and Riverside has optioned out of the tournament. If this is the Kanawha County Championship, how could they not attend?? Also, I thought the tournament was being held at Sissonville this Saturday but have since been told its moved to Herbert Hoover. Is this indeed the case? If so, what time is wrestling starting? Thanks for the info.

When will brackets be posted?

The County Tournament was a tough tournament back in the day and that's why we decided to bring it back about 6 years ago...All the county teams have participated except Capital. Last year all teams participated. This year the county tournament was scheduled to be at Sissonville but Sissonville couldn't get the gym so Hoover volunteered to host it....All teams will be participating except St. Albans. St. Albans decided to go else where and their is not any bi-laws created that states St. Albans has to participate...Its nice to have this tournament and we hope it continues and all teams see the importance of this tournament for the area... Weigh ins are at 7:30 and wrestling begins at 9:00am...Brackets will not be complete until after weigh ins.
