Compiled Triple-A Team Ranking
Re: Compiled Triple-A Team Ranking
REGION, # of wrestlers ranked, compiled region points
Region 1 37 265 (4 top ten, 3 top 5)
Region 2 20 140 (2 top ten, 1 top 5)
Region 3 18 105 (1 top ten, 0 top 5)
Region 4 37 260 (3 top ten, 1 top 5)
With the pre-regional rankings, it looks like there is a shift in toughest region with Region 1 reclaiming the position over Region 4. The reclassification of Bridgeport from AA to Region 1 AAA gives Region 1 the slight edge. The compiled rankings also puts Region's 1 #7 Buckhannon-Upshur into the top 5 and unranked Bridgeport into the top ten.
Both Region 1 and 4 have 37 wrestlers ranked with Region 1 having an advantaged in compiled points 265 to Region 4's 260.

Re: Compiled Triple-A Team Ranking
The rankings this year have not had the benefit of a season of bracketed tournaments to sort things out. So it’s more difficult for the young up and comers to climb into the rankings if they were not a state tournament qualifier the prior year. Curious to see how the rankings compare with the eventual top 6 at state this year. I suspect we may see some new faces from teams who do not typically post their results.
