Through the diligent work of the Fairmont State University president, Mirta Martin, and the athletic administration directed by Chad Fowler, Tim McNeely and Ryan Courtney, Fairmont State University will step inside the circle for the 2019-20 season. The formal announcement will follow MEC conference approval in the days to come. Coaching positions are currently being deliberated by our athletic administration.
As a current member of the Universities' board, I am very excited to endorse their efforts. Much like many division II programs in their infancy new programs need support. I am reaching out to the members and fans of West Virginia wrestling for a call to action. If you or someone you know would like to reach out to us as potential sponsors, please give us a call. This is a blank canvas for getting you or your business/corporation connected with the relaunching of wrestling back to North Central West Virginia. I am very excited for what the future holds for this program.
