Rumor has it West Fairmont IS NOT wrestling East Fairmont. IMO.....tell West stay home if they can't or refuse to wrestle their hometown rival.

looking at seniors schedule it seems they have east scheduled in a dual. my guess is they are wanting to save the rival for than. same as you will never see phs and south in a tri or quad. a good rivalry should be saved for single dual to preserve the rivalry tradition. everyone knows they are showing up to test their heavyweight which that matchup should help draw a good crowd.

Agree 100% and I bet neither wrestler, coach, parent will complain if people make predictions or post results about the match. Two good wrestlers going on to compete at the division 1 level that’s something the state should be proud of.

I don’t mind that east and west are waiting for their cross town rivalry. Doesn’t hurt any of the other teams in attendance and the meet is much better with them both there to compete with University and South.
