AAA BEAR TRACKS – DECEMBER 16, 2018

Important points:
1. Last season’s state place winners were given higher rankings to begin this season. Until they get defeated, they stay in the top five.
2. If you see two wrestlers for the same school listed under the same weight class, that is because they are both noteworthy and their final weight classes and status are not known. In addition, they have also placed in tournaments.
3. Some wrestlers have moved into the top five due to recent success in winning tournaments or still being undefeated despite not beating a previously ranked wrestler.
4. If a wrestler has yet to wrestle or is temporarily out, they have been dropped to the “Pack”.
5. Wrestlers who place in their respective tournaments will get entered into the Pack first. Others will follow in due time.
6. As always, turn in your scores, input, private messages, etc.
7. IF YOU SEE any discrepancies, then please advise and corrections will be made.

Not meaning to be overly critical, but just asking a few questions to clarify your rankings.
At 106= I'm not against him being ranked, but what did Taggert from WP do to get himself ranked?
At 113= Why is Jace Stockett from Univ not ranked? (I couldn't find any Univ varsity results on this site as of now)
At 126= If Holt has lost in state to the now #4 AA wrestler, should he still be #1 (again, nothing against him, but you are trying to have "unbiased" rankings)

Found University tournament results on track wrestling from this past weekend. Stockett not wrestling as of now. ?? Is he injured?? ??Will he be wrestling later??

I appreciate the feedback whereas putting together solid rankings is the goal.

In AAA, 106 has a 44.82 forfeit rate. Taggart placed 5th in the Barnsville Doan Ford Invitational. I do not think much else has happened "podium-wise" for the 106's down in the pack. Hopefully somebody will comment further on this weight class. Reference important point #3 at the beginning of this ranking report.

113: Stockett has been out of 113 for a few weeks. Matter of fact, I am not sure if he has wrestled 113 yet this season. With the quad coming up with South, EF and Fairmont Senior on December 21st, we might gets some ranking clarity for AAA 113 then. Reference important point #4 at the beginning of this ranking report.

126 Holt is a 2x state champion and is still undefeated in AAA, thus he is still ranked #1 in AAA. Reference Nature Boy Ric Flair, "to be the man, you have to beat the man".

Good 2 cents and I agree. I will flip flop Mullins and Childers. As for Shook, here is the story there. My friend TrueSouthFanInMoundsville has been informing me that many of John Marshall's lower weights are going down. That is why I have the majority still in the Pack. Shook is listed in the Pack at 126.

My eye has been on Stone "Cold" for a few weeks. I have even inquired to the GW staff about his ability of making the starting line up. From my position, GW has three good wrestlers that have been hovering around 160 and 170. One of them has been at 182 recently.

Many teams seem to have most of their wrestlers settled in where they will be. GW has some figuring out to do from 152 to 170. I hope they get all three in the line up.
