Girl Power

Postby Bearhugger » Thu Feb 17, 2022 4:12 pm

Upon review of intelligence collected from the various Bear Tracks field offices throughout the state, Thursday Night in Huntington is going to be Ladies' Night.

1. Region 4: Four 106's enter, four 106's qualify. Girls' State Champion Zoey Salmons is headed to Huntington.

2. Region 3: Four 106's enter, four 106's qualify. Girls' State Champion Caitlin Ash is headed to Huntington.

3. Region 2: Six 106's enter, only four qualify. Girls' State Runner Up Jillian Timberlake is seeded fourth. Martinsburg's Emily Earehart is seeded 6th.

Although I strive to remain neutral in all matches and events, I will be rooting for these ladies to lay the smack down.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!

You probably have some updated information (and when the brackets come out we will know for sure) but at one point in time 6 of the 8 Region 4 AAA teams had a 106 pounder wrestling. I don't know about Lincoln County and I believe Spring Valley has been forfeiting 106, but both Ripley and Hurricane had 106 pounders, along with those I'm sure are still in the mix from Cabell Midland, Huntington, PHS, and South.

The intelligence collected and reporting indicated that Parkersburg, Parkersburg South, Cabell Midland and Huntington have 106s.

1. Inboden
2. Volk
3. Salmons
4. Kelley
