Max Horz Invitational
December 29 & 30

The Max Horz Invitational, in its 36th year, would like to invite you to our annual event.

All participating teams from 2019 have been invited back for 2020. In addition we are extending an invitation to your high school to join this year’s tournament. The 2019 tournament drew 14 teams representing three states. I believe we will assemble a very competitive field that will feature some outstanding high school wrestling for the 2020 Tournament. Our goal is to continue to build the Max Horz to a 16-man double elimination bracketed tournament and make it once again one of the toughest tournaments in West Virginia.

With the new regulations and rules from the WVSSAC on wrestling we have opted to go with the following direction with the Max Horz. On Tuesday, December 29 we will wrestle weight classes 106-145 in either a round robin or an 8 man bracket. On Wednesday, December 30 we will wrestle weight classes 152-285 in either a round robin or an 8 man bracket. This will be held at the Berkeley Springs High School gym starting at 10:00 AM on both days.

AWARDS: The top two teams will receive plaques. First place will receive a custom made championship award. Second and third place will receive an award as well. Most Outstanding Wrestler Awards for 106-145 and 152-HWT.
