For the second year in a row 220 lb. B.J. Haynes won the North Canton Open. This is a VERY competitive tournament. Other WV placers were from Huntington; 126-Adkins-4th, 160-Stewart-6th, 170-Parde-6th and 182-Lanham-2nd. From Wheeling Park 160-Nash-3rd, 170-Simpkins-4th, 195-Loew-5th and 220-Wood-4th. John Marshall placers were; 152-Berisford-5th, 160-Carman-5th and 182-McCool-5th. Team wise Huntington was 7th out of 30 teams, Wheeling Park was 10th, John Marshall was 19th and Ripley was 25th. Ohio power Steubenville was 12th. Their future Ohio State University wrestler Jashon Hubbard was the 152 lb chapion.
