At the beginning of the season, the "opinion" was expressed that the AAA regions were ranked in the following order in terms of most competitive:
1. Region 4
2. Region 1
3. Region 3
4. Region 2
Upon further review and analysis of the finals in each region, here are the facts:
1. Region 4: The finals had 12 matches end in a decision (one overtime), there was one majority decision and one pin. The lone pin came at 285, which happens often in this weight class. Summary: 85.71% decisions, 7% Majors and 7% pins.
2. Region 1: The finals had 7 matches end in decision, 2 majors, 1 tech fall and 4 pins. Summary: 50% decisions, 14.29% Majors, 7% Tech Falls, 28.57% pins.
3. Region 3: The finals had 5 decisions, 1 major, 7 pins and 1 default. Of the 7 pins, 4 happened in the first period. Summary: 35.71% decisions, 7% majors, 50% pins, 7% defaults.
4. Region 2: The finals had 4 decisions, 2 majors, 1 tech fall and 7 pins. Of the 7 pins, 4 happened in the first period. Summary: 28.57% decisions, 14.29% Majors, 7% tech falls, 50% pins.
