This is a prime example as to what makes wrestling greater than most other high school sports.

This gentleman is ranked #7 in a very impressive 138lb weight class.

He is the only ranked wrestler for his school.

The most recent PB score listed 9 weight classes filled, five not.

There are three ranked 138s in AA/A region 2.

Based on the above, the likelihood of Philip Barbour making a run for any team titles are zero.

The likelihood of David Murphy qualifying for the state tournament great.

The likelihood of him reaching the podium are very possible.

This is where we see that wrestling is an individual sport first, team sport second. WV is filled with much more examples like this.

Great job and good luck.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!

David is not only a great wrestler but a good young man , he has put a lot of hours in helping other young wrestlers from youth to middle and high school. My son happens to be his practice partner and David always takes the time to teach as well as learn .Congratulations and thanks for all you do .......
