Girls State Tournament update Friday

First and foremost - East Hardy is in. They are now orange on the covid color map and will be attending. I have not talk to the coach to know if they are bringing everybody or not.
Second - There are some cancellations, not a lot but some, just enough to affect some brackets. Some weights have been reclassed and re-drawn to balance things out so a wrestler may be moving up or down depending if their registered weight is at the high end or low end of their group.
Remember we are using the Madison Round Robin System to even out the number of competitors in each weight class. Wrestlers are grouped in a range based on their registered weight. There was never any pre-defined weight classes declared, and we are not going to open a flood gate by making last minute changes after weigh-ins. Wrestlers are grouped based on their "REGISTERED" weight. Think of the weight classes in terms of more like boxing's feather-weight, light-weight, middle-weight, welter-weight, cruiser-weight, etc.
At the moment, we are still roughly at 50 high school wrestlers and 15 middle schoolers.
108 has been reclassed to 109. Duerr has been moved to 109.
113 is now 114. Timberlake has been moved to 114.
The first four weight classes now balanced at 5 wrestlers each.
All other weight classes are still the same.
Looking forward to a great tournament. Hope to see everyone make it out safe and sound on Saturday.
