Re: Individual and Team Rankings on "What's New" State Seating
Doddridge County wrestler Riley Curran is missing from the Top 10 ranking for the 120 lb AA/A Class. He has pinned the #5, has beaten #4, has beaten #9 and has split with Beisell. Curran is a Freshman.

High School Polls List the Year in School
I am hoping this can happen...In the High School Polls, could the Year in School be added beside the wrestlers’ names? I’m curious to see this information while looking at the polls/rankings. Thoughts?

Congrats: Mason-Dixon Conference Championship
Job well done for everyone who planned, coordinated and executed a well-run, middle school tournament! Considering the first day had to be cancelled due to snow/school cancellations, Saturday was a great day for competitive matchups. Congratulations to the Mason-Dixon Conference Champions!

Any updates for this from members/administrators of the WVYWA? Is this a legitimate new rule/requirement? If so, when was it approved? What’s the next steps?

Re: ARE YOU WORTHY????
I get it...you are upset that there was a delay...yet, the kids got to wrestle and the Hammers were handed out to the Champions. Technical difficulties do happen. I know that the tournament will be happening again next year for the youth wrestlers of the state and surrounding states.

What a great tournament this is shaping up to be! Great trophy for the winners! Great wrestling venue...great parking...easy to get to as well! Always a great time at the Panther Classic...back at the Nathan Goff Armory. Does it get any better than this for Youth Wrestling? There should be a large t...

Don’t forget about Freshman Kemo Summers of Bridgeport High School. They have a nice program going with Head Coach Chris Courtney.

Re: Favorite Venue to watch wrestling in WV?
So it seems like the State High School Tournament needs to change venue! Yes/No? If it is moved, then why can’t people from around the state help ensure it is a success? Wheeling, Charleston, Morgantown, Beckley, etc. Huntington just seems like a bad location and dirty town to host a large event. Do...

The Nathan Goff Armory in Clarksburg is a solid venue! More events should be held here...North Central WV is the best for all high schools in the State. Yes/No?

Re: Weight allowances for WVYWA State Championships
I do not want to muddy the waters...I just got confirmation that is 0 weight allowance for Regionals and 1 lb for States.
Hopefully more will see this and further confirm it.

Weight allowances for WVYWA State Championships
Questions: Like last year, will there be a 1lb. weight allowance at Regionals? Will there be a 2 lb. weight allowance for the States? Thank you to whom can answer these questions.

West Fairmont Middle School Team has done very well early on in the season. They should be in the Top 15 if not the Top 10.

Re: Wvywa 12 yr olds
If you have a wrestler that is 12 years old and in the 7th Grade, then why would you want your wrestler to compete down? Why not have your wrestler compete against other wrestlers that are at least in the same grade or up? Wouldn't this benefit your wrestler in middle school and into high school? Wh...
