Yes it is so rare to see full weight classes at tournaments these days. We are actually able to normally get a lot of back ups into the tournament. This year may prove tougher to get them in, however. Should be some great semifinal and finals matches.

I'm the head coach and tournament director. We have never ran into that issue before. In the very slim chance that we do we will probably wrestle pigtails into the championship and consolation to be fair. Kinda like how the NCAA's are done. More teams = more competition is the way I see it!

We just added what will possibly be the final team into the 2020 Ed Cressel Classic. We would like to welcome Wirt County, WV. We are excited to add such a quality team to our already growing tournament.

Just trying to help grow the sport of wrestling in this area and bring attention to this amazing sport. Holding tournaments like this only bring positive media attention to the sport and it's great for the kids to see competition from other states.

Typically we don't have to worry about completely full brackets due to so many teams not fielding a full team along with scratches at weigh ins. That's what we are hoping for! This is the most teams we have ever had in attendance. Will be tough to place top 6 and should be a good tune up for post season. We want to continue to grow the tournament each year and hope that it becomes a premiere tournament for all the surrounding states.
