And my guess is he'll have several kids out for wrestling for the first time. Sounds like a good match for an experienced coach as he is to start a program. Especially the new kids to wrestling will need his and others support.

Congrats. Do not get discouraged if wrestlers do not have very good records the first few years. It takes time to lay the foundation for others and you'll probably be better citizens for it. AAA is getting like the NBA. Many many kids percentage wise make the playoffs(tournament) . 29 programs, 16 qualifiers per weight class, well over 50%. Pretty good deal for a trip to the big dance......

Don't worry in a few years they'll all change again........Plus, only 29 AAA programs. WOW

How many from this year's senior class are going to wrestle somewhere in college? I don't follow it that closely. Who many D1 signees?

Folks, I can tell you the program is improving. If Henson thinks a WV kid will help him, he'll go after him. On another note does a popular Coach Huggins get very many WV D1 basketball recruits here? Results?

AA is an elite group. He must keep going to be the best. At least 4 other WV's have achieved AA status. Three of those did it 2-3 times. And I'm not even talking old timers, which I'm sure there are some. We also have at least one Academic All American. More important in my book.

Does any other sport in WV have a "all in one class" state tournament at this time?

Sorry, in my book, safety comes first. A well fitted ear guard was required in pee wee if I had anything to do with it. Good fundamentals should be learned early. I coached some junior high also and at practice I was in charge of, ear guards were required.
