They definitely need a new bigger coach. Mohamed is barely a 184 himself. 2 seasons ago Robins, Cooley, and Wolfgram all placed at Big 12s, and qualified for nationals. They all regressed last season and into this season. Hopefully the same thing doesn’t happen to Lawrence.

IMO between Rune’s slow start, and the success of all 3 bigger kids (184,197, and Hwt) all decreased last year from the previous year proves they need a new heavy coach. I knew Rhodes didn’t do well last season but didn’t realize he went 1-11, according to wrestlestat. It shows him as unattached, which just means he isn’t rostered on some team yet. Don’t recall seeing him in the portal.

Wrestlestat lists Cooley as a SR this year, and assume it’s automated and he’s done with college. I’m pretty sure he has the covid year of eligibility left, but I may be wrong.

I think they will be a good dual team. Overall, i think the upper weights (165-hwt) will carry more of the team. Unfortunately Amos suffers from not having a wt class between 197 and HWT. He’s been ranked, but don’t believe he’s won a match at NCAAs. This year was injury, but pretty sure went 0-2 last year. If only there was a 215/220 class
