Rally past Seton Hill

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The West Liberty University wrestling team won four of the last five matches here Tuesday night and rallied to a 20-16 victory at Seton Hill.

Trailing 13-6 midway through the match, Mike Emery put Coach Brian Davis's Hilltoppers (5-4) on the comeback trail with a 6-3 win against Brett Smith at 165 pounds.

Eric Antesberger and Danny Doyle then put West Liberty ahead to stay, 17-13, with back-to-back major decisions at 174 and 184, respectively.

The Griffins (4-14) stayed alive with a win at 197 but Hilltopper heavyweight Aaron Silverio locked up the victory for the Black and Gold with an 8-5 win against Ryan Simonica in the 285-pound match.

West Liberty goes back on the road Thursday for a tough test against No. 18-ranked Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. The dual is set for a 7 p.m. start.
